    This is a new sensor designed and developed by FrSKY to collect important flight information and performance data which can then be transmitted via the SMART PORT of telemetry-enabled receivers such as X8R, X6R, X4R, etc to a Taranis Transmitter

    This particular sensor is used to monitor the voltages of LiPo packs. It  incorporates a colourful easy-to-read (even in the dark!) OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display showing both total voltage and individual cell voltages.
    Simply plug in your LiPo balance plug to view the voltage readings.
    Two FrSKY LiPo Voltage Sensors can be combined to detect up to 12S LiPo packs.

    This sensor may also be used as a handy, pocket-size, stand-alone LiPo checker.

    ID Set up:
    Each type of FrSky Smart Port enabled sensor has its unique physical ID. The default physical ID for this sensor is 02. The ID number can be changed using the FrSky Servo Channel Changer. Please refer to the instruction manual for the FrSky Servo Channel Changer for details.

    The Duplex system takes advantage of the 2.4GHz band for communication. This system not only transmits control data to the model but also sends data from the model back to the transmitter.     The Jeti Duplex MUI 75 is a voltage and current telemetry sensor, compatible with all Jeti Duplex receivers and expanders, suitable for measuring currents up to 75A and voltages up to 60V.

    Using this sensor it is possible to view on your Jeti Box, the overall pack voltage, the motor run time and the capacity drawn from your flight battery as well as the present amp draw of your power system! You can also set alarms for:

    •   Low voltage
    •   High amps
    •   Consumed capacity (mAh)

    This sensor should be connected between the power systems battery pack and the speed controller, in order to provide a pass-through to measure the current drain of your power set.

    Two additional wires are used to measure battery pack voltage.

    An audible alarm can be configured via the Jeti Box to provide an alert when the flight battery voltage drops below a configurable minimum or when the current draw exceeds a configurable maximum. An alarm can also be configured for the battery capacity. The alarm sound is emitted from the duplex transmitter module.

    Please note, the maximum current capability of this sensor is 75 amps. This sensor is not required to view the voltage and other metrics associated with the receiver system, which is provided by all Duplex receivers, without the need for an additional sensor.

    Exact information about the altitude and distance of a model in space are extremely important guidance elements for the pilot who is remote controlling the model. Thanks to the GPS satellite positioning system the MGPS sensor defines the exact model position and calculates speed, altitude and distance from the point of origin, furthermore the course, azimuth and the total covered distance.
     
    In order to be able to record the measured data the MGPS sensor is equipped with a memory for approximately 9 hours of uninterrupted data recording with a numerosity of one record per second (4 MB MGPS version). For a simple analysis of measured data the sensor keeps information of minima and maxima which can be browsed with the aid of the JETIBOX. A more detailed analysis of measured data can be achieved by copying data from the sensor to a PC and map depicted trajectories or carry out other analysis modes. With the aid of the wireless DUPLEX system actual information of the MGPS sensor can be transmitted and depicted in real time by the JETIBOX terminal or DC/DS transmitters.

    MSPEED EX is a sensor which measures the speed of a flying model through the air to provide the indicated airspeed (IAS). The reporting of airspeed can be very instructive with regard to the control of a flying model, for example allowing the pilot to determine the model´s stall speed and set an alarm to indicate when the model falls below this speed.

    Another function of the sensor is to allow the pilot to set a desired speed and a step above or below this speed at which an acoustic signal should be sounded by the transmitter module. To facilitate easier reading of the indicated airspeed, a bar graph is displayed, marking the appropriate configured steps. The measurement of airspeed is based on the principle of change in dynamic pressure, measured by a Pitot tube, which is connected by silicon tubing. With the help of the wireless Duplex system, this sensor information can be reported to the pilot in realtime, allowing immediate feedback in airspeed changes and a deviations from the configured steps.

    Designation of MT 300 EX Sensors are temperature measurements of devices like motors, controllers, batteries and other model accessories. Presentation of the measured data is realized by the JETIBOX terminal and the wireless information transfer is ensued with aid of the DUPLEX 2,4GHz system.

    The Duplex System takes advantage of the 2,4GHz-Band for communication which allows not only the transfer of remote control data to the model, but also in the opposite direction to the transmitter. The telemetric data measured during operation are transmitted in real time and the actual state of the data can be depicted on the JETIBOX LCD-display. The MT 300 EX unit records minimum and maximum temperatures of the individual sensors and delivers besides that their actual values.
    The JETIBOX terminal takes care of parameter adjustments as well as of indications of measured data.
    The MT 300 EX device consists of two parts. In the first instance of the MT module itself, which is recording the data measured by temperature sensors connected to the MT module, which on the other hand can be connected to the JETIBOX, to a receiver or to an Expander of the DUPLEX system. Keep an eye on the temperatures of the module and sensors in order not to expose them to temperatures higher than allowable – see technical data table.
    The MT 300 EX module allows triggering of acoustic alerts by the individual sensors. These alerts can report of temparature limit violations by too high or too low temperatures exceeding adjusted limits. The acoustic signal is generated by the transmitter module DUPLEX Tx which contains a small siren. The signals are differentiated by Morse codes in order to be able to distinguish between the individual types of alerts referring to individual sensors. The acoustic signalling of parameter violations will be generated even if there is no JETIBOX available. With a connected JETIBOX there will be an indication on its display showing which parameter has been violated. If several parameters have been violated at the same time the alert sounds change consecutively as well as the indications in the JETIBOX LCD-display.

    Jeti RC DroidBox

    Jeti RCDroidBox allows real-time monitoring and recording of telemetry data transferred using JETI Duplex or Duplex EX protocol. The system consists of both hardware and a software part. The hardware is the actual RCDroidBox Bluetooth adapter and the software is an application running on a device with the Android operating system, such as cell phone or tablet.

    The application is available free of charge on Google Play - JATAYA - RCDroidBox. For active use the RCDroidBox has to be connected to a battery 4V-15V with the correct polarity and to the Ext. connector of the RC transmitter or transmitter module.

    Description of RCDroidBox and transmitter connection
    To make a successful instalation of the RCDroidBox, it is necessary to carry out following steps:

    Connect RCDroidBox Ext. connector to the Ext. connector of the transmitter module.
    Connect a separate battery power 4V-15V to the DroidBox power connector.
    Mechanically fasten the battery and the RCDroidBox to the transmitter.

    For connecting Bluetooth adapter and the transmitter module, 30cm connecting cable is delivered with the porduct. The polarity is indicated both on the side of the RCDroidBox, and on the side of the transmitter module. Select the power battery to your discretion. In the photo below NiMH 600 mAh 1/3 AA battery is used. Such a battery has a reasonable size for fitting to the RC transmitter, and the RCDroidBox will work approximately for 15 hours.

    For the whole system to function properly both your RC Transmitter and receiver must support JETI Duplex or JETI Duplex EX. The RCDroidBox and the RC transmitter must be connected together using the three-pin Ext. connector. The connector on the transmitter is the one which would otherwise be used for JETIBOX terminal. The correct orientation of the connector is depicted both on RCDroidBox and on the transmitter. The connection is realized using a three-wire cable with a standard servo -connector on both sides. A separate power supply from battery 4V-15V with the correct polarity and voltage needs to be connected to the RCDroidBox battery connector. The final component is the cell phone or tablet running both the operating system Android (2.3.3 or higher) and the RCDroidBox application.

    Assignment of the MUI EX sensor is measurement of voltage, current and consumed capacity of flight batteries in the model. The wireless data transmission by the DUPLEX 2,4GHz system is monitored by the JETIBOX terminal.
    For communication purposes the Duplex system takes advantage of the 2,4 GHz band, which besides sending remote control data to the model also receives data from the model back to the transmitter. During flight obtained telemetric data are transmitted in real time and the actual values of the measured data can be displayed on the JETIBOX LCD. Telemetric MUI sensors execute voltage and current measurements in your model and transmit these informations with the aid of the DUPLEX system (receivers and transmitter modules). Thanks to exact current measurements these sensors render it possible to trace the spent capacity of the measured battery. The MUI unit is recording the spent current flow time and its average as well as maximum value. Furthermore it offers exact voltage measurements and recordings of voltage minimum and maximum values.
    The task of parameter adjustment and measured data setup is performed by the well known alround talent – the JETIBOX terminal.
    MUI sensors allow setting of acoustical signals in order to announce violation of set parameters. Such alarms may be set for measuremets of maximum current and minimum voltage as well as for a maximum of consumed battery capacity. The sound signal is generated by a siren integrated in the transmitter module. For better differentiation are the particular alarms distinguished by Morse alphabetic letters. The acoustical alarm generation in case of parameter violation is working even if the JETIBOX is not connected. With the JETIBOX in place the LCD display shows which parameter has been violated. In case of violation of several parameters the alerts alter consecutively as well as the indications on the LCD display.

    The sensor MRPM EX-AC is used exclusively for measuring the speed of brushless DC motors (BLDC). It is connected to any two motor phases and it calculates the current speed from the electrical course at the phases. With the help of the sensor MRPM-EX AC, current speeds and the past course of the propeller performance (minimum, maximum) can be monitored.
    The sensor can be adjusted to set the timeout parameter which will be later announced to the user. Because the sensor is connected to the motor power system, the user must adjust the number of motor poles and the gear ratio of the transmission system to ensure proper operation. The information from the sensor are transmitted to the user via the Duplex system.

    Module MVario is used for measuring the size of climb, descent, and the relative height.
    The measurement provides a sensitive sensor of barometric pressure.
    Range of the sensor is a 100 - 1100 mBar.
    Module MVario records the maximum height, maximum climb and descent of the model.
    For display of measured values is used JETIBOX terminal with the possibility of wireless transmission of information in real time using the DUPLEX 2,4 GHz system.
    The connection a MVario module and DUPLEX 2,4 GHz system makes possible setting alarm for the climb and descent of the model in four steps.
    The range of these steps can be set directly in m/s.
